Marc Ascoli began his career as art director for Yohji Yamamoto with whom he collaborated on the overall brand image. He then revealed young photographers such as Nick Knight, David Sims and Max Vadukul and designers such as Peter Saville and M/M for the realisation of catalogs. Alongside his collaboration with Yohji, Marc Ascoli worked as art director of the entire image of Jil Sander, Martine Sitbon, not to mention his collaborations on campaigns for Chloé, Hugo/Hugo Boss, Calvin Klein and Emanuel Ungaro. He then discovered photographers such as Craig McDean, Mert & Marcus, Sølve Sundsbø and worked with prestigious names such as Paolo Roversi and Peter Lindbergh. From 2007 he was involved as Image Director of the project Rue du Mail by Martine Sitbon.
His talent is also expressed today through publishing achievements. He was creative director of Chloé – Attitudes, a book celebrating 60 years of the house of Chloé, a book on Marianne Faithfull, A life in Record, as well as Martine Sitbon’s book and Dior, The Art of Color (both also published by Rizzoli).
He recently collaborated with Giorgio Armani (beauty and fashion campaigns), Nina Ricci, art directed campaigns for Tod’s and Paco Rabanne and worked as guest Creative Director for the march 2017 issue of W magazine.
